Albemarle Parish Register, p. 204, records that he was
born on 23 Jan 1758. He was christened on 12 Mar 1758 in Albemarle Parish,
Sussex Co., VA.  Godparents were William Weathers, William Pettway Jr., and
Elizabeth Dansey (APR, p. 204)

Sussex Co. VA Will Book F pages 57 & 58 list appraisal,
page 59 sale, and 62-63 the acct of the estate of Edmond
Weathers. Appraisal list, dated 23 Feb 1795, recorded 5
Oct 1797, includes slaves Peter and Judah. Sale dated 24
Feb 1795 recorded 5 Oct 1797. Accts Feb 1795 - 1797,
mention John Smith guardian of John Weathers, orphan of
Edmond Weathers, dec'd and Mary Weathers, widow of dec'd,
guardian of orphans of dec'd. Also mentions Jesse Wrenn,
the administrator, going to NC to rent out land May 1797.

Sussex Co. VA Will Book M page 392 Inventory and appraisal
of estate of Mary Weathers recorded 2 Feb 1837. Accts from
Jan 1837-1840 recorded 1840, Will Book N pages 367-369,
mention amounts due from Joel Lee, Jesse Weathers, Sterling
Weathers, Nathan Weathers, Jordan Edwards and John Edwards
"per agreement between" them and the dec'd "on surrendering
her dower negroes for dividsion." (sic)

While I have no way to verify this, since she gave no
source for the info, much of the other information she
gives in the book for the Mary Wrenn & Edmond Withers
family agrees with what I have been able to determine
thru Wills and census records.
