Christopher Robertson (Roberson) was born abt 1710 in VA and his will
was probated at May court 1791 in Warren Co.  NC.  The family is
thought to have been from the Robertsons of either Prince George or
Brunswick Cos., VA Two of Christopher's sons, John & Thomas were the
progenitors of the Robertsons of eastern Wake Co.  John settled on
property presently north of HWy 64 & thomas settled south of the
highway.

When Christopher Robertson left VA has not been determined but by 1751
he had a deed in Northampton Co., NC on Lizzard Creek.  In 1758 he sold
his Northampton home to Robert Taylor and moved to Granville where he
bought several tracts of land.  His will, dated 17 Dec 1788 and
probated in 1791 left land and slaves to his second wife, Winnifred.
He named his sons, John and thomas, grandsons JAMES AND CHRISTOPHER
ROBERTSON AND TWO OTHER GRANDCHILDREN< Isham Robertson, whose father
was deceased and Burchett House, daughtr of Peter and Betty Robertson
House who was also deceased.  Christopher had a long life span and
survived some of his children.  (Then he names John & family)  The
.........John & Thomas Robertson held many adjoining land grants in
Wake Co bef 1800.  Both died before the estate of their father was
settled in Warren Co.  A long account of court proceedings by the
third generation to settle the estates for fathers and a grandfather
is found in Wake Records.

Thomas Robertson served as a private in the Rev. War according to the
DAR Patriot index.  (Then it goes into a paragraph or so of the
descendants of Amy Temple and her Robertson spouse.)
