Tennesse Land Grants THE STATE OF TENNESSEE NO. 8873 TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHLAL COME GREETING: KNOW YE , that in consideration of military service performed by George McDaniel to the State of North Carolina warrant No 4198 2 CONT dated the 8th day of December 1796 and entered on the 27th day 2 CONT of April 1811 by No. 6215 THERE IS GRANTED BY THE SAID STATE OF TENNESSE UNTO William BREWER assignee of the said George McDaniel A CERTAIN TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, CONTAINING thirty acres part of said Warrant by Survey bearing date the 22nd day of December 1814 lying in Stewart County in the first District on Brewers 2 CONT branch water of Pryors Creek and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a black walnut running South Sixty Seven and two third poles to a black oak. Thence East Seventy one poles to a hickory thence north Sixty Seven and two third poles to a post oak, thence west Seventy one poles to the Beginning including said Brewers improvement. WITH THE HEREDITAMENTS AND APPURTENANCES, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD 2 CONT THE SAID TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND WITH ITS APPURTENANCES TO THE 2 CONT SAID William BREWER AND his HEIRS FOREVER. William Brewer's estate: Fayete Co Will book did not survive the courthouse fire, so no copy of the will is available. Fayette Co. Probate Court Minutes Vol 1 pages 249,270,274,323,324,336 Fayette Co. Probate Court Record Vol 1-A pages 352-359, 649-650, 675-677 Ransom, Lucinda and Delphia were listed as living in MS in the Probate records of William's estate.Thomas was deceased as of Nov 1850 (Census) William Jr. was deceased as of Nov 1850 (Census) Wm. R. Howard was appointed guardian for his two minor heirs: William and Matilda Brewer. Before the final settlement of the estate Matilda married John R. Beasley. John W. started the administration of William's estate, then died.(1854). Levi Boyd, Nancy's husband, then took over the administration. William Boyd presented his father's last annual report on the estate in 1859. Levi Boyd died before 1860 census.
