Mrs. Ara Brand Evans, widow of J. R. Evans, died Sunday morning in her home at the age of 92. She had lived in Blytheville for the past 50 years and was a Methodist.

She leaves one son, J. R. Evans Jr. of Blytheville; five daughters, Mrs. Max Logan, Mrs. Mike Meroney, Mrs. Ross Moore and Mrs. Francis Williams, all of Blytheville, and Mrs. E. L. Bowles of Osceola; one brother, W. A. Brand of Egypt, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. R. O. Duke of Lexington, Miss.; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. today in Howard Funeral Service chapel with Rev. E. H. Hall and Rev. Benny Ruth officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tom Bowles, Charles Bowles, Charles Moore, Orville Elkins Jr., Joe Elkins and John Logan.
