The Pullen Family book, done by Geraldine Pullen Green of Jackson,
Mississippi, in 1990, shows the following:

Charles Pullen had a son named Robert who married Hettie Jewel. Robert and Hettie Pullen had a daughter named Susan (or Susannah), who married Sanford Pullen. The Greene County, Georgia, Marriage Records show that Susannah Pullen married Sanford Pullen on January 10, 1828.

Geraldine Pullen states that Sanford Pullen had been married prior to his marriage to Susan Pullen and that the children of this first marriage were: Tempest, Winnie, Synthia, Robert, and William.

Sanford's marriage to Susan produced the following children: Berry Sanford, Joseph L., Andrew Jackson, Carter Oliver (my great grandfather), James M. (Jamy), Mary, Sarah, and Susan.
